Jeremiah Provo, Division Manager of Commercial Low Slope Roofing
Jeremiah joined Black Roofing & Waterproofing November of 2023. He has spent over 20 years mastering construction, starting from a young age under his father’s guidance, a general contractor. Specializing in roofing for the past 14 years, he’s held various roles like repair technician, project manager, and COO at a leading company in Indiana and Florida. With a degree in business administration from Purdue University and six years in the Indiana Army National Guard, Jeremiah brings Black Roofing & Waterproofing a blend of practical expertise and leadership to his work. Proficient in a range of roofing systems, including shingle, tile, steel, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and synthetic products like DaVinci.
Alan Nedelea, Vice President / Shareholder / Commercial Low Slope Reroofing Specialist
Alan started at Black Roofing & Waterproofing in 1991. He was as a young laborer working on a hot asphalt roofing crew. Alan soon became the youngest foreman at Black Roofing & Waterproofing running 10–12-man crews, installing large low slope, new construction and reroof projects. His initiative did not stop there, Alan desired to learn more complicated, creative designs and roof repairs, so he asked to work in the service department to have more involvement with property managers and homeowners. He learned to locate, design, correct and repair ongoing leak issues. In 2000, Alan became a superintendent supervising multiple roofing crews daily, delivering complex roof designs, material handling, controlling production, scheduling, manpower and customer service on multiple job sites. In 2008, Alan hesitated to start in sales at Black Roofing & Waterproofing as the economy was in a downturn. However, as a competitive, growth-oriented and people-focused person, Alan proved to be more than suited for roofing sales. He continues to add value to the company by constantly pursuing new ideas, estimating, working with manufacturers, vendors, local code agencies and other industry resources to stay informed of new methods. Now, as the Division Manager of the Commercial Flat Roofing department and Architectural Sheet Metal Alan, provides a level of leadership and a vision for growth within Black Roofing & Waterproofing. He supports all the managers within the departments with the authority needed to carry out their assigned duties and achieve established goals. Overseeing profit and loss responsibility, safety, development, operations, resource management, growth, teamwork, and the culture within the workplace Alan will endorse success for Black Roofing & Waterproofing for years to come.
Matthew Freeman, Commercial Estimator / Project Manager
Matthew joined Black Roofing & Waterproofing in 2024. He began his career in roofing while finishing a Mechanical Engineering degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver, selling roofs door to door. After graduating in 2017, he worked for a Commercial Roofing and Architectural Metal firm dedicating his career to this field ever since. His experience spans a variety of industries including 11 years in the United States Navy. With 5 to 6 years of experience in commercial estimating and an additional 1 to 2 years in waterproofing, Matthew brings a pronounced value to BRW when connecting with clients, solving project-specific challenges, and thinking critically to overcome obstacles. He holds certifications from Versico, Masterbuilders/Sika, and Carlisle Waterproofing and Coatings. As a Colorado native he embraces the Colorado lifestyle, enjoying activities like camping, paddle boarding, concerts, snowboarding, indoor rock climbing, and theater.
Diego Cardona, Superintendent / Flat Roofing
Diego joined Black Roofing & Waterproofing in 2019. As a superintendent, Diego’s leadership and strategic thinking are what make him a successful superintendent on roofing jobs. He monitors projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. Diego’s quality standards and experience ensure the safety and security of the crew and the construction site making him a vital team member of of Black Roofing & Waterproofing.
Gunnar Weingardt, Project Engineer / Flat Roofing & Waterproofing
Gunnar joined Black Roofing & Waterproofing in 2023. While Gunnar started BRW as the first point of contact as the front desk, he quickly proved his willingness to learn the roofing and waterproofing industry and was promoted to Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer, Gunnar’s attention to detail, skills in customer service and strategic thinking are an asset to the entire estimating team. He proves to be a vital team member of Black Roofing & Waterproofing.
